My Company Logo Design - Timyx Creative Inc.

About 3 weeks ago, I have already start to mention about logo design and choosing my company's name for my design assignment. That time, I was in dilemma choosing names for my design company... after doing so much of researches around the net, I finally decided to name my own design company as 'Yuan Xiang Creative Studio'.

However, in the end, I came up with:



Timyx Creative Inc. , lol! XD

Yup, the time I decided to name my own design company as 'Yuan Xiang Creative Studio', actually I still cant stop thinking other names to be used to name my design company... this is because my own name 'Yuan Xiang' is way too long and not that memorable to the public, left alone the pronunciation of my own name, 'Yuan Xiang'. For choosing a company's name, I think the most important aspects of it is to make it memorable to the public, something short and simple so that it's memorable, but have a big impact at the same time...

So thinking and thinking... suddenly an inspiration hits me...

My full name is Timothy Chong Yuan Xiang... Timothy can be simplified as 'Tim'... but 'Tim' what...? Hmmm... Yuan Xiang can be simplified as 'YX'... combine them, 'TimYX'... 'Timyx', haha!

Err... actually... *coughs* this inspiration I got from Xiang Ling one rofl XD! Through the name of 'Heiddyxl' actually haha.

Ok, so decided to name it to be 'Timyx', pronounced the same way as you all pronounce 'Streamyx' as. Next, I thought that 'Timyx Creative Studio' was quite long too... and after some researches again around the net, I find out about the term called 'Inc.', stands for 'Incorporated'. Incorporated is a term used for some private company, or self-own company. So at last, I named my own design company as 'Timyx Creative Inc.'

Then about the logo design of Timyx Creative Inc. :



At first I only did 4 designs for my company's logo, but teacher said that the 1st 4 logo designs for my company are too cute for a design company... so I felt quite... err... challenged so I keep finding suitable fonts and keep on designing all kinds of logo for my company and in the end... teacher said that these 2 logo designs (circled in red above) can be used. The 1st circled one is more like western style of logo while the 2nd circled one is more like Japanese style of logo.

In the end, I choose the 1st circled in red logo, the western style one. Probably because Im more fond of western culture... the 2nd logo is too Japanese style and it can be a big challenge for me to design the rest of business card, letterhead and envelope in Japanese style, so I go for the western style instead lol.

After decided the logo design, next is to choose the color of your logo:



In the end, I picked a mixture of blue and green for my logo's color. Pink is more like some kind of fashion company feel of color, red is too agressive and too bloody to me, blue is too boring and plain, green is more like some kind of environment based company... keep experimenting with colors, and I find out that green+blue type of color works best for my logo XD.

So in the end, the 1st pic of this post is the final outcome of my company's logo ^^.

Now Im designing the business name card of my own design company... besides card, there are letterhead and envelope designs left for my company to be done... hope to finish'em all before Tuesday... due date is Wednesday.

Today busied the whole day... now Im still busy ---- finding ideas and inspirations to design a business name card for my own company >.<... argh, seriously, I need to design the name card to have the 'wow' and kick a** factor... a name card that everyone wants to receive it from me and treasure it, or even just simply hire me just to get my dam name card lol XD.

But haiz, now still dont have any great ideas... and I have letterhead and envelope design for my own company besides the name card. The due date is on next Wednesday but it's better for me to finish everything out and get all of them printed on next Tuesday before Wednesday arrives...

Tomorrow night Im going to attend my 'tang ge' (cousin brother)'s wedding in Bukit Bintang there... so it's going to be a whole night and busy day again tomorrow... and omg... do I have to wear formal to attend my cousin's wedding dinner??? Gosh, what a pain... I hate wearing formal lol...
